Transcape Construction’s team consists of licenced and highly qualified senior managers and tradesmen, each with 20+ years of experience in the building and construction industry. Our site team consists of apprentices through to qualified plant operators and landscape/irrigation tradesmen who are overseen by our senior supervisors and Operations Manager. Experience – With 24 years in the civil construction and mining Industry, Andrew has substantial experience managing diverse commercial construction, civil and marine projects in VIC, NT, NSW, ACT, QLD and abroad. All levels of project leadership have been held from Foreman, Area Manager, Works Superintendent, HSEQ Management, Contractors Representative and most recently Group Operations Manager. With a focus on local, state and federal government projects, Andrew adopts a hands-on approach to ensure value for money and delivery of projects to the highest of standards.
Qualifications - Dip Occupational Health and Safety, Cert IV Training and Assessment, Cert III in Civil Construction/Road Construction and Maintenance, Cert III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations), Leadership Management Australia, Diploma of Project Management.
Primary Role – Primary Client point of contact in the role of Operations Manager, Project Manager, responsible for resource scheduling and providing oversight and support to site Supervisors in all aspects of safety/quality and programming.
Experience – Craig has 10 years of experience in the building industry focussing on civil and landscaping roles from Trade Assistant to Estimator and Project Administrator. He is experienced in the estimation of a variety of civil and landscaping projects including; high end residential properties, telecommunications infrastructure, pipe and pit installations and numerous commercial landscape and civil projects in VIC, NSW and QLD. Craig’s sound knowledge of local pricing and his ability to build rapport with local contractor’s and suppliers ensures Transcape can attend to estimating queries promptly and achieve competitive pricing outcomes.
Primary Role – Source and respond to tender and business opportunities and actively chase leads, issue expressions of interest and letters of introduction to new customers, contribute to variation pricing and provide pre award input on contract negotiations.
Experience – Scott is an experienced Supervisor whom has managed a variety of construction sites including commercial construction projects, landscape and civil projects, and infrastructure and maintenance projects. He is a strong motivator and communicator with the ability to facilitate mutually beneficial site-based outcomes. He is a well-respected team player with a “can-do” attitude.
Qualifications – QBCC Contractor Licence (block laying and irrigation), HR driver’s licence, confined space and high-risk work tickets, excavator, front end loader, skid-steer and road roller operator.
Primary Role - With a focus on softscapes and services, Scott plans and manages all daily site requirements including safety/pre-starts and coordination of deliveries and task allocations for internal staff and subcontractors in line with the program objectives. Contribute to variation pricing and site document control.
Experience – Ben has nine years of experience in the Landscaping Industry including installation and maintenance of irrigation systems and plant/machinery operation.
Ben was recently promoted to Junior Supervisor after demonstrating his ability to accept responsibility and his eagerness to learn and grow within the Company. His positive attitude, worth ethic and maturity beyond his years earns him respect from the site team and Clients alike.
Qualifications – Multiple plant and machinery tickets. Irrigation Australia Certified, currently undertaking formal training in Landscaping.
Primary Role – Under mentorship of the Operations Manager, plan and manage all daily site requirements including safety/pre-starts and coordination of task allocations for internal staff and subcontractors in line with the program objectives. Internal reporting and maintenance of site records.
Experience – Jan’s prior experience includes teaching, accounting and business management. She enjoys working in the construction industry and is responsible for reception/front desk duties, accounts and management of Transcape’s HR/IR.
Qualifications - Certificate IV in Business, Diploma Education
Primary Role – Reception duties, resource recruiting, employment/HR matters, supplier and subcontractor payments approved by the Project Manager/Contract Administrator and general administrative support.
Experience – Wendy has over 25 years of experience in the building and construction industry managing diverse commercial construction, civil and marine projects in NT, NSW and QLD. Project exposure includes multi-million-dollar residential high-rise, bridges, airports, resorts, education facilities and remote area building in every role from subcontractor through to builder, superintendent and client-side construction manager. Such variety in roles and project exposure allows Wendy to recognise risk and opportunity and to “see the issues from both sides” in order to facilitate fair outcomes for all parties.
Wendy also provides business development and marketing input to assist the estimating department.
Qualifications – QBCC licensed Open Builder (Contractor), Advanced Dip Building and Construction, Dip Project Management, Cert IV OHS, Cert IV Training and Assessment, Dip Psychology and Counselling, Cert IV Quality Auditing, Mediation Certified
Primary Role – Contract Administration/ Legal and General Support to Operations/Project Manager and Director
Experience – Martin has over 30 years of experience working in the Landscaping Industry as a site supervisor and within a teaching role. His broad knowledge of plant and tree species, local climate and landscape practices provides valued input on Transcape’s projects to ensure minimal failure rates and maximum client satisfaction.
Qualifications – Diploma Horticulture (Landscape), Diploma Horticulture (Arborculture), Diploma Education
Primary Role - Plan and manage all daily nursery site requirements including safety/pre-starts and coordination of incoming and outgoing nursery stock for internal and external Projects. Procurement and propagation of stock to ensure programmed deadlines are achieved. Respond to customer queries about stock pricing, availability and suitability. Supervision of nursery staff and task allocation including routine maintenance, watering, weeding, fertilising and preventative pest treatments.
Experience – Michell is an experienced Carpenter with exposure to all aspects of residential and commercial building projects including landscaping, concreting and fencing. He is also a skilled plant operator (bobcat, excavator, manitou). His diverse skill set, excellent internal/external communication and attention to safety and quality requirements provide Transcape’s site teams with well-rounded leadership and mentorship.
Qualifications - Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery, Multiple plant and machinery tickets
Primary Role - Plan and manage all daily site requirements including safety/pre-starts and coordination of task allocations for internal staff and subcontractors in line with the program objectives. Internal reporting and maintenance of site records. Mentorship of young workers and apprentices.
Experience – Jane’s business and banking experience and her grounding in disciplines that underpin business and management success are a valued asset to Transcape. Jane’s multi-skilled role and practical approach see her undertaking many varied tasks in support of Project QA requirements, internal training and accounts payable. She brings a sense of structure and organization to this busy team!
Qualifications - Diploma Business, Cert III in Accounts Administration, Business owner/manager
Primary Role – Provide general support to the project team. Develop ITPs and Project Plans, arrange approvals and permits and manage project QA deliverables and records in line with contractual obligations.
